Old country house original oil painting by Edward Bledsoe
The painting is an acrylic on canvas by the self-taught Louisiana artist Edward Bledsoe. 
 
He was a native of Shreveport, Louisiana who grew up in the Stoner Hill section of the city. 
 
He spent most of his adult life in Angola Prison in Louisiana. 
 
He later died in a house fire rescuing a friend. 
 
This charming paining features an old country store with signs.  The painting is signed and dated lower right 1990. The painting is in a professional frame (original to the painting). Overall dimensions are approximately 12" x 17".
